2010 West Coast FC Flight 1 Champions
The Westside Breakers U16 White team beat the defending National Cup Champions Arsenal FC in the opening game of the 2010 West Coast FC Classic, July 21-22 on their way to an incredible tournament victory. Five of CSL’s U16 Premier Division vied for the title but it was the Breakers (new to CSL Gold in 2010) who came away with the trophy.
Having to play three elimination games in 6 hours on the final day of the tournament, the Breakers showed their incredible resolve and improving fitness to win 2 PK shootouts and defeat another Premier team, South Bay Force Black in the Championship game.
The Breakers put themselves on the map with this victory and will now aim to maintain this momentum for the great challenge of the U16 Gold division if the fall.
