This past January, the Westside Breakers inked a new uniform sponsorship deal with adidas becoming an "Official Adidas Sponsored Youth Soccer Club". Adidas is one of the oldest and most prestigious soccer equipment and apparel companies in the world. Most recently, they were an official sponsor of the 2006 World Cup in Germany and also outfitted numerous teams participating in the most watched sporting event in the world. As part of the deal, all Breakers members will receive 20% off the retail cost of any adidas merchandise purchased at Offsides Sports (the local retailer).
With new uniforms on the way for the 2006 season, the club leadership decided it was a good time to update both the logo and the club's website. Many in the club have grown attached to the Breakers ball and wave logo and so the decision was made to keep that part and to change only the writing to something that was more easily recognizable. Breakers U-14 White parent, Daniel Gray, an art director by profession, volunteered to help and came up with the new design which gives the Breakers a crisp new look.
Once the logo was completed, it was time to work on updating the website and, after looking at various companies, the Breakers recently worked out an arrangement with Demosphere International. Demosphere is very well known in the soccer community as they have provided website design and support services to numerous soccer organizations throughout the United States. As part of the deal, Demosphere is also an official sponsor of the Westside Breakers Soccer Club.
