Coaching Background and Experience
Patrick is recognized as one of the best young goalkeeper coaches in the country. As a youth player growing up in San Francisco, he played in 3 National Cup finals and was a member of the Cal-North Olympic Development Program (ODP) state team from 1994-1997. After completing his collegiate playing career at Chico St. University where he graduated with a degree in Political Science, he moved south and accepted a coaching and teaching position which he still holds at Santa Monica College. Along with his duties at Santa Monica College, Patrick is also the head goalkeeper coach for both the Westside Breakers and Santa Clarita United soccer clubs where he trains over 40 youth goalkeepers each week. Patrick is also fortunate enough to be the head goalkeeper and staff coach for the prestigious Cal-South ODP program where in 4 years he has trained and helped develop over a dozen youth national team members. This past summer Patrick joined the Region IV (Western US) ODP staff as a goalkeeper coach. Patrick holds both a US Soccer Federation national C and national goalkeeping license and continues to strive to be the best coach and teacher he can be.
