Coaching Background and Experience
"Fernie" is entering his 1st year season as a head coach after two seasons as an Assistant Coach with the Breakers. Before joining the Breakers, he had coached at Walnut High as the Assistant coach for 3 years (JV 2 yrs, V 1 yr). Also coached 1 season at Fallbrook Union High School for the Girls freshman team. Fernie holds a US Soccer Federation "D" coaching license.
Fernie played youth soccer in the North County San Diego area for Fallbrook Fury. He helped this team rise to the premier league, and is the only team from Fallbrook to do this. He walked on at Cal Poly Pomona (Div. 2) and made the Men’s soccer team there, playing 3 years at CPP before graduating.
