Each year in early August, all Westside Breakers teams U12 and older participate in a mandatory residential team camp held at UC Santa Barbara.  The camp is run by the Center of Excellence Soccer Camp (www.centerofexcellencesoccer.com) and the Co-Directors are Alan Howie and Jason Kelly who also coaches our U16 White and U19 White teams. Each team participates in approximately 10 training sessions and 3 scrimmage games during the week which is the equivalent of 5 weeks of regular practice and a weekend tournament. This allows our teams to work on team tactics, set plays and other team concepts in a concentrated manner.  We believe this camp provides our older teams a significant edge as they enter the important Fall league season.  In addition to the soccer training, the week also provides for invaluable team building and bonding as the players live, eat, rest and spend down time together.  Enjoyable as well as exhausting, the camp is a unique experience both our players and coaching staff look forward to each season.
